Defendant is plaintiffs sister boyfriend. Plaintiff claims she loaned defendant the money out of a student loan she received, her sister cosigned the loan, she says she wanted to help him. Defendant says he needed the money to start up a janitorial business, but, the business did not go through. Defendant claims he does not owe her any money because she lived with him and her sister for some time without paying rent. Plaintiff admits that her sister has been paying some payments towards the loan, she has not put any payments. Judge decided to award the plaintiff with $3000, but, to put it on an escrow account until the principal is paid or the money goes to the plaintiff.
