Parties were roommates. They signed a lease, defendant left early because she felt unsafe; plaintiff had the prerogative to leave as well as stated on the lease, he chose not to. Plaintiff claims that defendant moved because her parents bought a new house; defendant claims she tried to find a replacement for her without success as he refused them all. Plaintiff claims she took his laptop and trashed the apartment with her boyfriend.
